Creating a dive style roller coaster using the Coaster Dynamix Phoenix and their classic Dive Coaster Train (available ONLY at MRCHQ) might seem simple at first glance. However, looks can be deceiving. Indeed, the extreme width of the Dive Coaster Train necessitated modifications to the Phoenix Station and very limited and creative use of Phoenix' molded curved track segments. As you can see in our video, due to the proximity of the support tube holes to the track in the curved track segments, if the support tubes extend above the track, the train would be unable to continue. The modifications to the station are also detailed in the video above. Additionally, getting the train to work properly, especially vertically, with the Phoenix lift required minor modification to the train chain dogs. Again, looks CAN be deceiving.
