K'NEX Rumbler by MRCHQ Design
|
The K'NEX Rumbler by MRCHQ Design represents an exercise in "can this
be done?". This, of course, first refers to the "Rumble Strip", a three
foot long motorized assembly with five cam driven arms which cause the
connected track to wildly oscillate up and down. Does this really
affect the train more than similarly configured fixed sections of
track? Probably not. Is it cool? We think so, but you tell us. Was it
fun to engineer? Absolutely. The other "can this be done?" aspect of
the Rumbler is the more conventional horizontal coaster layout. Unlike
standard K'NEX coasters, like the Serpent's Spiral, which "spiral"
around a single large vertical tower, the Rumbler stretches out
horizontally supported by several towers and supports. What all of this
really illustrates, once again, is the incredible flexibility of the
K'NEX system. Given enough imagination, time and parts, there are very
few creative limits to what you can accomplish with these marvelous
K'NEX products. The Rumbler was built using parts from the Serpent's
Spiral, Sawblade, and Double Ferris Wheel.
