Here is an excerpt from the MRCHQ Review of the Faller® Music Express: "If you are into model railroading, or have spent some time on our site, you certainly know about Faller® of Germany. If you are not, and haven’t, you may not. If you are, at the same time, someone who really likes to build really cool stuff, being unfamiliar with Faller® would indeed be unfortunate and is a situation MRCHQ would like to prevent. Why? Simply put, because there are no other working model kits in the world even remotely similar to Faller® kits in concept, detail, complexity, and sheer joy of model building. This is why we sell them, this is why we build them, and this is why if, you are anything like us, we want to introduce them to you."

Though this excerpt pretty much says it all, let's take this a little further. It is a fact that, in the overall scope of things, very few people even know that Faller® Thrill Ride models exist and even fewer have had the opportunity to build one. It is also a fact that this is too bad. We want to change this and really encourage you to give one a shot. Sure, with the Euro/Dollar exchange rate they aren't cheap. Sure they take a fair amount of time to build but that doesn't mean there isn't value to be had. Take the Music Express for example. For the price of two or three decent, not great, dinners out you could have this model including everything you will need to build it. With the dinners you'll spend your bucks and get maybe four or five hours of, if all goes right, epicurean pleasure and pleasant conversation. All you'll end up with, if all goes right, is a full stomach and a pleasant memory. The Music Express , on the other hand, will provide you with ten to twenty hours of modeling goodness and you'll end up not only with a sense of accomplishment but with something you can display and revisit for years with pride. You tell me which is a better value.

afitz  - Faller® declares bankruptcy........   |SAdministrator |2009-09-01 19:46:58
avatar The news out of Germany this week is very disturbing for modeling and model
railroading enthusiasts everywhere. On 8/28/09 it was announced that Faller®
gmbh has declared bankruptcy. Details are still sketchy and, with governing laws
different in Germany, the future of the three generation family owned company
remains unclear. Let's all keep our fingers crossed and hope that this revered
maker of unique and wonderful model kits is not lost forever. We will post
updates as they become available.

avatar The interim receiver appointed in the Faller bankruptcy thinks the company has a
future, according to a release by the German model railroad structure and
scenery manufacturer.

Dr. Volker Grub said believes Faller can restructure
itself into a sustainable, growing company. He says the Faller name wields
comparable marketing clout to companies like Märklin, and even though sales
figures have decreased, the scenery maker is still the "undisputed market
leader for model railways decoration." Grub's says he's in the process of
submitting a financial rescue plan intended to settle the outstanding $13
million in liabilities. He wants to submit the plan to a vote of the creditors,
which may allow Faller to be out of bankruptcy in 2010.

Questions about
FALLER bankruptcy?
Since the announcement last month that Faller of Germany was
declared insolvent and an administrator was appointed, we have had a number of
customers ask for more information about the status of Faller products, both
current catalog items and new items not yet delivered. Many of the media
announcements regarding Faller have used words such as 'liquidator' that have
led many to believe that the company had ceased production and Faller products
would no longer be available. This is false. At the present time Faller is
working through a court ordered reorganization and restructuring but is still
producing their full product line and we are receiving Faller shipments at our
regular intervals. We have not heard of any product cancellations or supply
limitations due to this process so far.

avatar The latest news from Germany is that Faller has straightened out their finances
and is on the road to recovery. Adding support is the announcement on their web
site that they are resurrecting and updating the much missed Rainbow for
delivery in September, 2010. New product announcements even if they
reintroductions are welcome news indeed.
afitz  - Faller New Product Announcements   |SAdministrator |2011-02-16 10:25:58
avatar Though the previously announced re-introduction of the classic Millenium Rainbow
has been moved back to 3/11, there is good news on more product introductions
from Faller. Another classic, Pit's Steep Face Show is also scheduled for 3/11
re-release. Faller has also announced a new confection booth and two mobile
sales unit booths. Keep your fingers crossed for Faller to meet their schedule.

I first heard that they would re introduce the rainbow in 2009 I would say they
are a little bit behind. PS Check out Doctor Land's Wonderland videos on you
