Arriving with 2009 is the newest content section from MRCHQ titled Andrew's Blog. As fanatics who grew up with a passion for building models and riding roller coasters, my fellow conspiritors and I started MRCHQ to provide a central, one stop shopping site for all the cool and facinating toy model roller coaster construction sets and thrill ride model kits available today from around the world.

Amazing offerings like the Coaster Dynamix® Scorpion , the KNEX® Serpent's Spiral , The Miniature Amusements® Tycoon roller coaster, and the Faller® Music Express are only the tip of the iceberg in a rapidly growing product catagory that didn't even exist for us five or six years ago. Throw in all the modeling tools needed to build these great toys with a community site which promotes the values of model building and creates a forum for sharing ideas and information about these terrific products and you have MRCHQ. With my Blog I will offer building hints, new product and general topic information, and give you the opportunity to comment, to ask questions, or to share your own ideas and information. I hope you will participate and maybe, even occasionally, be entertained. So c'mon, let's get it on.

I really like the idea of having a community here. I can't wait to get my first
Roller Coaster. I think the Roller Coaster Tycoon is the best value!

Ordered my first kit for a carnival diorama. The additional hints and
instructions on your website were extremely helpfulto me! Thin I will build a
Coaster next.
Eric  - Big Dipper Vs. Wild Mouse   |2009-02-08 07:31:56
Personally when comparing the two, I found that the Dipper is 10x as complicated
as the wild mouse. Although the wild mouse may contain more parts the dipper is
a lot more technical in means of getting it to operated correctly. The dipper
constantly falls off of the track and a lot of adjusting needs to be done
whereas the mouse works just fine. That is just my opionion though.
I also
had a few suggestions that you might want to include in your suggestions area
for the wild mouse.

- The lift will can be very finicky. It is very important
that when you glue the pieces for the lift hill together that they are smooth
and go together well. This is the same for the track. Make sure they are very
smooth or lots of sanding will have to be done.

- The yellow motor provided
does not run the lift hill well. It tends to stall a lot. Save it for later on
a different model and purchase the blue more powerful motor. This on...

avatar Your comments about adjustments to the "Dipper" track and the
"Maus" are right on. The Dipper does take quite a bit of trial and error
adjustment to get it to run correctly and consistently. At the same time, the
Maus is, overall, technically more difficult to assemble and this is what we
base our ratings on. Still, your comments have great value and are much
appreciated. You might consider also posting them directly on the appropriate
MRCHQ Reviews. One question: what modifications, other than the motor, if any,
did you have to make to the Maus chain drive to get it to work? We ended up
removing several chain segments which WAS difficult. Thanks again for the post.
Keep it up!

I just wanted to say thank you for the great service and quickly getting my
product to me as quickly as possible. I recently ordered two small expansion
packs and a floorless train for my Coaster Dynamix model. I also wanted to thank
you guys for the helpful hints on making my floorless train work with the lift
hill as well and the tool for filing it down. Your site is great it has
everything I need for building models and I will definitely be making more
purchases in the future!

I agree with the quick service, and especially the helpful design tips in the
site. This website goes further than any other in helping me with putting my
coaster together. I really appreciate the fact that you actually assemble these
models yourself, and that helps us - your customers. Thanks!
